The English Maximalista

The first of November marked my 3-month blog-versary, which happened to fall on a Saturday, this year.

Normally, I wouldn’t be deterred from posting on a weekend, except that this weekend, I was up to my eyeballs in the shambles of my kitchen, which was finally getting an overhaul… more on my progress in the next blog!

Today, I shall be giving you a quick recap of my recently discovered hobby of blogging. 

Many of you will already know that I started writing the English Maximalista blogs over the Summer, which you can read more about here. But for those of you who are new to the Maximalista Lifestyle, allow me to introduce myself.

My favourite colour is black, and I enjoy long walks around the aisles of thrift stores. I love decorating, traveling, my girlfriends, and my family. (Although not necessarily in that order?) 

My hobbies are reading, writing, and being idle. Other interests include standing outside waiting for my dog to go potty. She reciprocates by sitting at the door whilst *I* use the toilet.

My husband, Mr Maximalista, and I have been married for almost five years. I have one daughter, aka The Top Banana, from my previous marriage; Mr M has two daughters from his previous marriage. All three of our girls have flown the nest; they live in New York and Wisconsin. We are super proud of these three smart and independent young adults.

There you have it: that is a brief account of me, in a nutshell.

As mentioned, the blogging venture is new to me. It’s been three months since I launched my alter-ego, the English Maximalista. As I write this, I have had over 5,000 (FIVE THOUSAND!!!) visits to my website, which is overwhelmingly thrilling to me!

Clicking on the links I provide in my socials really does help me, even if you don’t actually read the content! I’m aware my posts can be wordy and sometimes self-aggrandizing. Sorry about that. I’m an over-sharer. One of my many faults…
