Review: With Love, Meghan

By

So. Yesterday, I pulled the trigger and decided to watch the latest series of With Love, Meghan, which is streaming on Netflix.

I have questions. First of which, what is all the cynical fuss about?

There seems to be so much negative publicity toward this woman, and honestly, I don’t understand why? And I most certainly do not understand the virulence directed toward her, her life, or her tv show.

Honestly, the show is not at all bad. I find it to be in a wholesome vein similar to Martha Stewart’s Good Things or Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop… Which maybe explains why the haters gonna hate: famously, both Martha and Gwyneth have their vicious detractors.

What does it say about the people who are intent on loathing these intelligent, successful, beautiful women? People who get on The Sun’s dubious bandwagon rather than questioning why they gain satisfaction from slagging off perfect strangers?

It’s a head-scratcher.

Myself? I personally work hard to remove that kind of negativity and toxicity from my life!?! I refuse to bash women just because they are living their best lives. I applaud women for their hard-earned financial achievements.

Here follows the English Maximalisticle of Things I Like About With Love, Meghan:

  • The content. I enjoy things related to home-making, such as flower arranging, decorating, crafts, and baking
  • The guests. They have a great rapport, are culturally diverse, and seem to enjoy their chosen paths
  • The staging. It’s modern, clean, and comfortable
  • The host. Confession: I actually like Meghan! Wasn’t sure if I would, and I’m not gonna start some parasocial fangirling on my socials, but between you and me, she seems to be personable, funny, interesting, and relatable

All I want to say is this: let’s stop picking on this woman, FFS.

Lots of love,

M xo
